Player Profile: Handsome Mike

Ladies and gentlemen, tonight I bring you a very special, exclusive, unedited, unscripted, raw, live, and captivating video interview with the one, the only: Handsome Mike. This was indeed a rough season for both fans and players, but this interview highlights the sheer dedication of the Don Johnson's Loafer players and their willingness to fight for their right to ball. The Loafers have nothing but heart, and that is why we as fans love them so dearly and will continue our unconditional devotion to these strapping young men who may not have much athletic ability, but can tell you a thing or two about how to mix your audio levels and perhaps entertain you on the airwaves effortlessly.

As a fan, I have gotten much closer to the teammates this year which has given me all the more reason to come back to games next season and support BECA. If YOU are interested in becoming a member of the DJ Loafs, they may be scouting...so be on the lookout and don't be scared when you see a group of these handsome lads sneaking around bushes at your nearest local basketball court...they just want to make sure you are a good fit. Seriously though, if you have the drive, heart and soul required to be a Loafer, approach any one of the teammates mentioned in my previous post and maybe just maybe they'll let you on the team. Also, if you have enjoyed this blog thus far please please come and support your BECAns. We want as much positive energy and motivation as possible. Never give up DJ Loafs, never give up.

Let the Loafs be heard!

While the season may be over, we can still relive those wonderful moments on the court with a little taste of being right there in thick of it with some audio goodness! As I mentioned in an earlier post, the Don Johnson's Loafers have been featured on KSFS's "The Deuce." Pick6Sports host Dylan Harper and Will McCombs brought us an insightful commentary live from the SFSU gym where the DJ Loafs played against the Interior Design majors.

Player Profile: Max Schreiber

Hello fellow Loaf-a-holics! I've got a special treat for you today….a video! Yes! More sideways unedited completely unscripted live in your face drama…I mean behind the scenes action from Loafer headquarters aka my Droid. At the Candy Dripping Low/End of Semester BECA rager, I took the opportunity to sit down with my pie and chat with DJ Loafer Max Schreiber to discuss his thoughts on this past season, and what we can expect next semester from our favorite bball stars. Naturally, being the best spot for interviews, I chose the most sports-oriented room in the house: the beer pong room. It was very loud and we were interrupted by cheering of intoxicated BECA students during an intense game of beer pong, but I was still able to get some juicy info from this outstanding player.
Some fun facts about Max:
-He likes to envision the other teammate’s faces as he takes the ball away from them.
-Rarely does he ever not wear hats
-He may or may not have scored 9 points, but there are 3 for sure on record including 1 layup.
-Max is a San Francisco native
-He enjoys eating Latke’s during the holidays when he is hungry
-He is single
-He likes beer

"I think of the most awesome group of people I've ever met" -Max S.

Important Announcements

Hello Loafers fans! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. As a fan of the DJ Loafs, I often wonder what else besides this shrine of a blog is being done to honor these sexy players. Today, I found my answer. Someone in BECA is making a documentary of the LOAFS!!! YES!!! I cannot reveal just yet who is making it, but the information will be disclosed in coming posts. Excited? I know I am! But alas, I have one more important announcement for the day.

It comes with great sadness but also great anticipation that the Loafers have decided to change their name. No longer will people ponder, "Who is Don Johnson?" or "Loafer? Like the shoe?". Yes, like the shoe. According to an anonymous team member, the Loafers have decided to switch things up, and with good reason. They have had the same name for two seasons, the first of which started with the Alex Herter cabinet. However, Alex and other former Loafers have graduated from State, and the team feels it is time to move on and carry the torch with a bright new group of players and a fresh name.
